The Options Traders Blog – Options Trading Made Simple

The Options Traders Blog – First Post

Welcome to 1, 2, 3, StockOptionsTrading.com – a free educational website about stock options trading to help beginning investors learn how to invest and trade successfully with simple trading strategies.

I began this website about a year and half ago in an effort to help beginning investors and traders to quickly learn what I considered crucial lessons that would help them not lose money as they started out trying to make money in the stock market.  I wanted my site to have quality pages with information that was practical and allowed folks to achieve their goals in investing and trading – make their money grow and keep more of what they make.  I believe my site currently has some core tenets of investing and trading that all traders and investors should know – I suspect that I will add to these pages over time as I’ve learned that good investors and traders never stop learning, and I look forward to learning more in the years to come.  Please note that if I find material elsewhere on the web that already says what I think is important – I plan to link to it, and not add pages to my site merely for the sake of adding pages. I welcome suggestions for such links to quality investing and trading sites, but I reserve the right to determine what to post.

It is my belief that options trading strategies offer more flexibility and have greater advantages over pure stock investing. As this may not be obvious to folks not familiar with options, I plan to post case studies on a variety of option trades for their educational value to allow readers to grasp the finer nuances of stock options trading and apply the principles I have outlined on this website (please note that these trades are not recommendations, and readers are responsible for their own trading decisions – see fine print disclaimer). Some option trades may be trades I have actually entered in myself, while other trades may be ones that I pick to illustrate how a particular option strategy may be used in a given trading situation.

I find the topic of investing and trading in the stock and options markets both fascinating and challenging, and will post items that I feel might be of benefit to others who share my intrigue.

Happy Trading!
